| This newsletter is not without some sadness, as I am announcing that Unison Yoga will be closing its doors, effective Friday, April 30th. The decision to close has not been an easy one, and I have been deliberating, agonizing and praying for many months. I have given it everything I have for the last 2 years but due to high operating costs and decreasing revenue and attendance, the studio is not financially viable. So you’re probably wondering what this means for you. I am trying to give you as much notice as possible so that you can make use of your pass: - If you have a 5 or 10 Class Pass, you have the entire month of April to use up your remaining classes. Passes will be invalid after April 30th.
- If you are a monthly pass holder, your pass will be valid until its expiry date in April. If your pass expires and you would like to continue until the end of April, we will pro-rate the amount for the remaining days. (will not be more than $45 if it’s early in the month) - And, in order to say “thank-you” to all of you for supporting the studio, I am offering a crazy goodbye (for now) deal! Only $45 for Unlimited Yoga in the entire month of April! I plan on keeping our full schedule in effect for the entire month. - There are still a few spaces left for the Padma Yoga workshop on April 25th. If you want to learn more about yoga philosophy and meditation, and get inspired in the process, this workshop will not disappoint. |
| At this time, I am not sure what the future holds for me. This is not “the end” and there are many options. I may move the studio back to my home or I may teach for other studios. I might be able to be a “mobile yogi” coming to you, or your friends and co-workers for private sessions or a semi-private group class. I will continue to post on the Unison Yoga Facebook Fan Page and will also probably update my Blog periodically. Please keep in touch! Tell me how your Yoga Journey unfolds!I plan on taking the summer off to re-charge, re-energize and gain some clarity and insight about moving forward. The possibilities are endless…To every one of you who has supported the studio in some way along the journey, I say “thank-you.” And in all things remember, “Love is the answer.”Wishing you every Blessing.

Ok, I just got my first ever spray tan! And it looks like I’ve already been to Mexico!
It’s a 2 part process, so I get instant color, but over about 6 hours, my skin will actually “tan” and get darker! There are only 10 ingredients in the product they spray on and it’s FDA approved so you can eat it – not that you’d want to!
Minx Salon is now offering sunless spray tanning in our building, right next door to Alicia’s Esthetics. Our “mini-mall” of wellness services is now complete!
Ok – I just got the most amazing pedicure from Alicia’s Esthetics! My feet are so smooth and the polish application is perfect! Alicia’s Esthetics is located upstairs with us (Unison Yoga & Pure Fitness) and she is offering all Unison Yoga students (with valid, current pass) $5 off Pedicures! You can check out her website or give her a call at 604.226.1404 .
Just wanted to let you all know that it has come to our attention that the Unison Yoga signage at our old Fletcher Avenue location has been stolen and replaced with “Real Estate Office Landmark Realty” signage. We had specifically posted “we’ve moved” signs so that all of you would know to look for us at our new location on First Avenue. We have filed a police report and are working on resolving this issue (and find our signs!)
We sincerely apologize to any of our students that may have been affected by this. We want to assure you that we have not gone out of business, we have simply moved to a wonderful bright new space 33236 1st Avenue, Mission. For a Google Map, Click Here . We’re sharing space upstairs with Pure Fitness and Alicia’s Esthetics. (By the way, you really should come and check it out! Everyone has been surprised at how nice it is up there!)
If you could share this with your other Unison Yoga friends (or Missionites) it would be greatly appreciated – I’m not able to send out an email right now (technical difficulties – again!) but just want to reassure everyone that Unison Yoga is still in business, we’ve just moved.
Again, I apologize if the lack of our signage has caused you any distress. We are still in the process of getting signage up at our new location so stay tuned to see what the next chapter holds for Unison Yoga – Bringing Heart and Soul to the downtown Core of Mission.
