Wow!  What a night!  I WON!!!

I am so honoured to be named Young Entrepreneur of the Year!

 Like anything, this award is not just about me.  There are so many people  that are a huge part of my life and my business, including you – my students.  Without you, none of this would be possible and it wouldn’t really be any fun either.  To my husband Martin, my sister Wendy, my parents, my kids, my friends and everyone else who has touched Unison Yoga in some way – I say THANK-YOU!!

Sep 19, 2009 – As usual, it was wonderful to see everybody out and about, celebrating our community.  Illuminaria was amazing.  What a fantastic day to  call Mission home.

Save the Endangered Programs!

In the midst of decreased funding for some its most popular and effective programs, Mission Community Services is hoping for help from the community. Their 19^th annual Dream Auction, to be held on November 7, 2009, is one way that individuals, businesses and organizations who care about preserving these endangered programs can help. This year, the Dream Auction will be held at the Kingsway Arms at Cedarbrooke Chateau, and will include a full-course banquet, entertainment, and an array of items to bid on in a Live and Silent Auction.

An art auction and African buffet in support of HIV positive women and birthing mothers in Uganda. Join us on a journey to reduce maternal & infant mortality, empower HIV positive women and bring clean water to a rural community in Uganda!

YOGA IN THE PARK

Fundraiser for the CANADIAN CANCER SOCIETY

Sunday, August 23rd ~ Heritage Park, Mission BC

The weather was perfect and we gathered under an ancient tree to practice yoga and meditation in harmony with Nature. We had 26 amazing yogis come out for Yoga in the Park this morning!  And would you believe that this amazing group raised $365 for the Canadian Cancer Society?  Holy Cow!! In one hour!

The event would not have been possible without Andrea Exner, Deborah Clysdale and Norine Longmire-Aarons.  Thank-you for being such an inspiration! 

I’d also like to thank the gals from the Canadian Cancer Society here in Mission who came out this morning with free sunscreen, water bottles and info about all the work the CCS does for people in need.

Plus, we’re famous!  Well, sort of.  Thanks to Sarah from Country 107.1 Radio who came out to support the event and help us promote it!
