“It’s time to take control of your health; Learn practical ways to reduce the risks of cancers.” Anne Arsenault from www.healthbrights.com presented this one hour, practical workshop. We had door prizes, tea and snacks!

Wasn’t May 3rd extraordinary?!

Our Yogathon fundraiser for www.shantiuganda.org raised almost $2000! Do you know how far that goes in Uganda? Thank-you to everyone who came out to support Shanti Uganda and to promote yoga and community in Mission. Our teachers (Natalie, Jaromey, Andrea and Padma) were truly inspiring, and the energy we created as a group was beautiful.

We had some great community involvement and would like to thank FRASER VALLEY BUILDING SUPPLIES for donating an outdoor clock which went to Nicole for bringing in the highest donation of over $200! Special thanks also go to our door prize sponsors: NATURAL REFLEXTIONS donated a $25 Spa Gift Certificate. The MISSION SPRINGS donated a $25 Gift Card. And STARBUCKS donated a huge tea basket. At Spring Equinox we’re leaving the long winter nights symbolically “coming out of the darkness into the light.” It is a time of renewal, transformation and rebirth. We focused on setting positive intentions for the coming cycle, clearing anything that blocks the flow of divine-universal energy. (The global collective consciousness holds a lot of fear, anger, worry, negative thought patterns.) In meditation we will clear these from our own energy field. Clearing the way for the new and the positive highest vibration of harmony, peace, joy and love to enter.

In the spirit of Karma Yoga, or selfless service, this class was complimentary. Andrea donated her time and Unison Yoga donated the space.
